Commercial: A forgotten shot!

Well here I am processing images from a recent shoot and while I’m double-backing up my RAW files on my external drives I came across an image from a shoot I did with Angel Faces. Then I realised that it never made it into my super long post about this shoot.  And, since the model, my dear friend E has a super special day coming up next Saturday, I want to dedicate this post to her.  Go E! Here’s wishing Mr. S and yourself a wonderful and blessed life together.

Lifestyle – Engagements: T & Comfort

Recently I had the pleasure of shooting T&C’s engagement session at the Lekki Conservation Center.  After we walked along a suspended bridge through a mini rain forrest and marveled at the collection of tortoises roaming the grounds, we went about the business of photography. T&C were so much fun to work with and I wish them all the best with their upcoming nuptials. It’s definitely going to be a colourful and grand affair!

Commercial: Telema’s 2010 Collection Teaser

I’ve gotten a few emails lately asking “What’s up with your blog? It’s been a bit dry lately!” No kidding! I’ve been really busy, but I promise the results will be posted in due time and I also promise not to disappoint. I’m working on a few commercial shoots in Nigeria so watch out for more updates that are coming your way.  One of the shoots I recently completed was for a friend and up and coming designer Telema from House of Odycee, Nigeria.  It was a full day shoot with 10 models and countless pieces from his 2010 collection.  I’d like to thank the team for making this happen; Creative Director – Adia, Hair and Makeup stylist – Suby, all the models that worked the streets of Lagos like they owned them – Sandra, Sunmbo, Taiwo, Kehinde, Joy, Seun, Otu, Mike, Sunday and Sunny, Nancy the coordinator and Vicki the intern. Seven hours of hard work, but amazing images to show for it.

Since all posts are better with photos, here’s a preview from the shoot. Watch this space!

Commercial: Fashion Shoot with AngelFaces (a rather long post)

Happy New Year! It’s still January, so I can officially still say that. Like most, I took a much needed break from a lot of things including photography over the holiday season.  But now I’m back, refreshed and refocused!  FotogrAffi will continue evolving this year, so watch out for some exciting changes in the upcoming months.

In the meantime, to make up for my absence over the break, here is a nice long post of photos from a fashion shoot I completed in collaboration with Ngozi head makeup artist from AngelFaces makeovers.  Ngozi has created a name for herself by embracing her passion making women feel beautiful and confident.  She believes that “everyone has exceptional features which can be enhanced by the correct makeup & application“.  Ngozi’s broad range of experience led her to teach makeup on National TV in Nigeria. Presenting her own beauty segment on a Lifestyle TV Show made her popular among the women both in Nigeria and London.  If you want to go through a transformative makeover with AngelFaces, do contact Ngozi.  She is available for weddings and other print, editorial work, fashion shoots, makeovers and private makeup lessons. She also offers “Gele” (head wrap) tying and lessons such as “Makeup Basics 101”, “What’s in your beauty bag?” (shopping & organizing personal beauty bags according to your needs and budget) and she hosts beauty parties. Ngozi is based in Chicago, IL, but available nationwide. Call her – she’s amazing!

A big thanks to our models Ebun and Iris for working with us on this shoot.

Fotograffi: Lessons and Commercial Teaser!

There are no regrets in life, just lessons and I have realized that life isn’t worth living if you don’t learn anything along the way. I have learnt a number of lessons this year; some good, some bad, but all necessary.  What I learnt covered everything from life, love, friendship, the pursuit of happiness, business, career, and of course – photography.  What I know for sure is that life’s lessons will continue to mold who I am as a person and as a photographer for it is not the lesson alone but how I choose to apply it in life that matters the most.

Blog posts are always better with a photo. Here is a teaser from a recent commercial shoot I just completed with MUA Angel Faces. As always, there’s more to come!
